I agree...Harriet Hartgrove's is the book that I use as my machine quilting bible. I'm no pro..but I love to play with it.

I used the paper that you are referring to and I have to tell you that its not magic. I sew through paper for a lot of my quilting and I've used the golden stuff, regular vellumn, tracing paper from a tablet from Wally's and even toilet paper on the borders. If its thin enough to tear away easily yet allows you to draw on it and then pin it to your top...its good enough.
