We both retired about a year and a half ago. When I retired I was planning on getting some kind of part time job, but then I had the opportunity to take care of our 2 year old granddaughter 4 days a week, and doing that is so much better than any other job I could be doing. I LOVE having that little girl in my life and love that I am able to make a difference in her life.
I also spend several hours each day in my sewing room. When GD is here, she will play in the room with me, often pulling all the scraps out of my scrap basket and play with them while I sew.
GD comes about 9 AM until about 5 pm, so I still have evenings and 3 days a week to myself. DH keeps himself busy puttering in his barn every day. He also loves having GD here.
We are loving retirement!
