I think the pattern ManiacQuilter2 posted on page 6 would be awesome, with alternating squares of the red/black print with the black center and then the solid black with the red/black print centers. I also think that your quilting with perhaps a gray thread would really be pretty. The younger people are really liking the less than traditional quilts, it seems.
Anyway, whatever you do, it will be done with love and received with love. That is what life is all about.
