I have collected at least 300 pair of jeans (dropped off when I wasn't home) and I washed them, hung them out, and washed more and hung them out. Think what 300 pair would do to my dryer. Anyway, I am slowly cutting them into strips and my friend in Pa. will make me 2 floor rugs, woven like the old rag rugs. He will make me any length, but only 6 to 8' wide. When I get them done, that is. I have them all washed and cut apart but not in strips yet. His Mom gave me a sample how to sew them together so he can put them thru the loom. She is from Sweden and spins and teaches spinning. So I must get them all done this year plus all the quilts I want to make. I did want to make 2 quilts with left over denim, one called "pockets" and one called "knees". I have not tried the rag quilts yet. My list is getting longer.
