If they're ok with you exchanging it, then go ahead. JoAnn's is having a sale thru the Jan 11. You could exchange for more fabric or put toward something you've been really wanting and pay the difference. You're going to need the receipt to exchange. so if you get money back maybe put that toward something totally different. When I have ever exchanged something given to me and picked up something else, I take a photo of it and thank them for the thought and so happy for them not having any hard feelings for a different selection. Then if you decide on a tool or fabric, make them something that you could not have done sooner had it not been the exchange!
