Mine is a midarm (Voyager 17 with Hinterberg stretch frame) that I bought used. The cost was manageable. If I ever win the lottery, I will upgrade to an Innova
but in the meantime this setup is wonderful for me because I can finally finish my quilt tops! No matter what setup I have, I would not want to quilt for others commercially -- too much stress. My current setup is much more affordable than sending quilts out, plus it allows me to make better use of my existing sewing machine and fabric stash. My sister isn't fussy, so I quilt her tops for her as well as mine.
