I usually don't plan ahead for the sashing and borders on a scrappy quilt. It just seems to make more sense to see what looks good with the blocks after they're made. I liked Karen K's idea, but wanted to see what it would look like with the blocks, so took the liberty of importing the pictures into Windows Paint and putting them together. The other version is just some playing around I did with the program to illustrate how Paint can be useful in planning at this stage. It could be neater, and definitely could have other color choices, but I hope it's okay for illustration purposes. When you want to debut a particular fabric, you can take a picture of it and pick up at least the main color with the eye dropper tool in paint. Your blocks are very nice and will make a great quilt.
