Viking has several 1/4" feet. The one with the guide AND the wide needle hole will allow you to move the needle over to make a "scant" 1/4". For a regular 1/4", there is a stitch (depending on your machine) - I think it is the first stitch option in the in the section that has all the quilting stitches.
