My sewing room is in the basement and with this sub zero weather it takes to much to heat it. Since I've been down with shingles my husband brought my machines up and set me up in the dining room. I can only sew for a little at a time before pain takes over so I don't feel bad since I'm not heating the extra room! I hate te mess but oh well...
Sorry to hear about the shingles but sounds like you have found a way to sew and be warm. My sewing is upstairs on the West wall and rather cool at 60° but bundle up to cut fabric.
Prayers for relief of the shingles, keep sewing along until the weather gets warm again.
