Love your door decoration. You were very creative to make all 12 months, and February is adorable. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it. One of the nicest gifts I gave my mom in her retirement facility was a similar idea. Instead of sewing a permanent hanger, my husband made a wooden plaque that she could hang on the wall outside her room. That might solve the fading problem for you. He made the inset 12 1/2" to accommodate some 12" sq. calendar patterns I had from the Wooden Bear and Nancy Halvorsen. I used two strips of adhesive Velcro to hold up the quilt squares. At the end of each month I would send her the next month, so it was a gift that continued to give all year. Turns out the other residents were as anxious as she was to see the next block.
