I don't know much about Necchi's, but they are now owned by Janome and Necchi does have a website and a new push to be introduced and sold to the American consumer.

I work for a Janome dealer part time but he doesn't carry Necchi. The shop does get their emails though and it sounds as if they're still getting set up with many of the dealers and such. I don't know what support for the older machines you'll get, but it looks promising.
