New owner of a Necchi BF sewing machine
Hello, Everyone.
A few days ago, I purchased a Necchi BF sewing machine with a cabinet and some attachments at a local thrift store. There was no manual.
This is my first Necchi. I was impressed by its graceful appearance and, although it was sticky in operation and could use a cleaning, this machine appears to be in working order. I hope to use this machine for piecing and free motion quilting.
I have created this post in order to learn more about this machine (history, notable features, quirks, tips) and where I may be able to get a reasonably priced or (ideally) free owner's manual.
Any and all assistance with this request for information will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about Necchi's, but they are now owned by Janome and Necchi does have a website and a new push to be introduced and sold to the American consumer. http://necchi-usa.com
I work for a Janome dealer part time but he doesn't carry Necchi. The shop does get their emails though and it sounds as if they're still getting set up with many of the dealers and such. I don't know what support for the older machines you'll get, but it looks promising.

There are a couple of Necchi groups at Yahoo Groups that are a wealth of information about the older Necchi machines, and they have manuals for several machines that you can download. You have to join them in order to see the information, but that is a simple process.
