I'm not sure if this will help or if i can explain it well enough. Find the exact middle of your panel. Lay that out on a larger piece of fabric. From that point measure both sides, top and bottom to the exact size you want the pillow sham to be including one quarter inch stitching (if that is what you will be using). Then figure out how how large each of the 64 squares measures to figure out how many you need to complete the size of the top. Or you could find the center of the panel, place it on a larger piece of fabric then measure both sides, top and bottom to the meassurement you want the sham to be and add a couple of nice complimentary colored borders.
