I have made several quilted jackets. My favorite is the M2 jacket from The Quilted Closet. You make 5 "mini quilts", then cut your jacket pieces from them. Also, there are a number of quilt-as-you-go jacket patterns out now. Beware if the sizing though. I have found the sizes run small. I always make a size larger than I wear. Hope this helps.
