I used Retro Clean on a top I took apart & replaced batting & backing & requilted. It was So nasty but everything came out beautiful except the rust marks from pins left in for years. Any one know if it's possible to remove old rust?? It turned out Awesome. I couldn't believe the difference & wished I had taken a pic for comparison! It was hand pieced so I handquilted it in the ditch. Now it's a heirloom!! My friend will be So amazed when she sees it!!
I have used a product called Wink which I purchased in the cleaning section to remove rust on antique textiles. The fabric must be stable or it may damage it. Using a cotton tipped stick and just try on an under side of a seam to test may be a good idea. Good luck and thanks for your report.
