Sharing a love of something brings happiness to me and you.
Sharing does bring happiness, but you only have the right to share what is yours... not what belongs to someone else. The person who worked to develop and write the pattern is the person who owns it. When you buy a book, you are only buying a licence for your own use of the book. You can't legally or morally distribute someone else's work. That's why copyright is there to protect their interests. So "share" the name of the book, or pattern, and tell them where to buy it, instead. Then share your sewing time, your love of quilting, your notes on construction... the things that are yours.
