I guess I see this different, but If I have something someone wants I am usually very eager to share. That is the way my momma said it should be. It maybe that someone may have a pattern I havent seen or cant get in my area and I would hope they would share with me. But That is just the way I think. Sharing a love of something brings happiness to me and you.
Sharing does bring happiness, but you only have the right to share what is yours... not what belongs to someone else. The person who worked to develop and write the pattern is the person who owns it. When you buy a book, you are only buying a
licence for your own use of the book. You can't legally or morally distribute someone else's work. That's why copyright is there to protect their interests. So "share" the name of the book, or pattern, and tell them where to buy it, instead. Then share your sewing time, your love of quilting, your notes on construction... the things that are
yours.
