The clothes that are donated to places like Africa are sold, not given free for a very good reason. These people have their pride, and if they pay a dime or so for the shirt, they can say they bought it, and it is theirs. Also there are people along the pipe-line that are putting these clothes out there, paying the rent for the building, heat, etc. and they need to get some money from somewhere, too. Some places are run by volunteers, but if they hire some workers, that means more people are making a living and can "buy" something for themselves.
