Petfinder.com is a great place to search. They list animals in shelters and rescue groups all over the country. You can search by breed and zip code. We found our Portuguese Water Dog mix on petfinder and I don't know if we could have found a better dog anywhere. They have a bunch of Tonks -- I just checked.
