The dealer is offering a machine used in a quilting festival class for $8900 with no trade in (and no iPAD).
Questions:
1. Is this a fair price for a barely used machine?
2. Has anyone had luck quilting a king size quilt on one (and what kind of batting did you use)?
3. Has anyone used EQ Stitch to create the design to quilt for the 15000?
I really appreciate your help!

Here's my take on it. You asked if anyone has had any "luck" creating a king size quilt with the 15000.
I've done several king size using my 7700--and the 15000 has the same size or larger throat, so it should be just fine. I'm not sure what luck has to do with it.

(I said it "tongue in cheek" but I'm not sure what luck has to do with it--really.)
Here are two: and . Both were in the 110x110" inch range.
My batting was a 100 gram polyester (I think that would be 3 oz. though I'm not sure exactly how it is measured.)
As to the price--I have no opinion. I do like my 12000, but really use my 7700 daily for quilting and piecing. I mainly use the 12000 for embroidery.
