I shy away from classes because I'm a terrible student. I need time to think about what is being presented and go at my own pace. I would be the one holding everyone back. My solution for this was to read everything I could get my hands on from all the quilting authors I could find and then make my own way. The library was my best friend when I was a new quilter.
