it looks like it's just peeling off. you can just squeeze some wood glue (tilebond or elmer's will work) in between the veneer and clamp it. that's what i usually do when i am refinishing my cabinets. but make sure that you put glue on all the peeling veneer. your's most likely will go up to the left most end part.
