Kitsie, like you, in my youth I used to buy my sample shoes at the "Cinderella Slipper Shop" here in Los Angeles. Their samples were all size 4! Now I have to find a size 5, mostly online, and have to be careful about the width because, as Tartan pointed out, my feet have spread out! So not fun to have to shop for shoes.
