What a great idea to cover a nasty case. I have the one for my #221 that still is a bit stinky even after everything I have done to get rid of the smell. Maybe getting rid of the fabric will finally get rid of the smell.
Susie unfortunately I think the smell on these cases is the actual old glue! After removing the old fabric I found quite a thick layer of it! As I sanded it down that distinctive FW case smell was there!!
I sanded down quite a lot but I think the smell permeates into the wood! I can live with it!!!
