Thank you CD. I am in the process of cleaning it up now and plan on putting it in a 7-drawer treadle that a Red Eye is currently in. During my research I saw that you did that and I would like to have a zigzagger in a treadle. So, thanks for that idea too! I'm hoping I can get the treadle base to not do any clanking so that I can sew while hubby watches TV. I've removed the motor and light and it seems like this is going to be a very nice, quiet machine. I have passed up a few of these machines due to reviews that say they are noisy and because of the special needles they take. But, a great deal came up and I just couldn't pass it up. This is my second green singer (the other is a 125) and I am really liking this color.
Hopefully, someone does have information on the "W" serial numbers and then you will know a bit more about your machines too.
