Oh yes, for sure. I have a computerized Bernina and don't want to have to replace it. However, I use it for other machines. If I know a thunderstorm is moving through, we unplug everything, including surge protectors.
Me too. The sewing machine, lamp, and iron are all on the surge protector, and it gets unplugged in bad weather!!
