For me, I find modern quilts to be the most inspirational, possibly just because they're so different from traditional quilts. I have a lot of books that feature modern and 'improvisational' pieced quilts and I love looking at them.

My quilts themselves are still fairly traditional, but I think little modern touches make their way in.

But I don't really need to look for ideas...I have a list with over 20 different types of quilt on it that I want to make that I haven't gotten to yet. When I am close to finishing one quilt, my mind has already jumped ahead and excitedly picked the next quilt off the list. Those get interspersed among quilts made for a wedding or a new baby or a special occasion. Most of the quilts on my to-do list have an invisible name next to them; I usually have an idea of who might like each different quilt so I mentally flag them for that person. Every once in awhile the name is even mine!
