I sure wouldn't use corners on a wall quilt that large! I think that's just asking for future problems with distortion and pulled threads. I'd go with a full width sleeve to support the weight and balance the stress all the way across the top. Sleeves are fast and easy to make and I put them on all my quilts 'just in case'.
