Take a look at my Faux Flowers tutorial on QB. I use my square to mark where the circles need to be sewn together. You need the intersections to just meet, do not over sew the seams or when you go to sew rows together, you will have trouble. I also backstitch when sewing my inspections because there is more stress at that point when you fold back the petals to sew into rows.
