We quilters are such compassionate people, always helping where we can. I recall that when I lived in Washington, DC, one of the guild members had completed a quilt top but also knew she would not live to see it finished. Friends took the quilt and hand quilted it for her. One member reported that she and her hubby laid under her final quilt. It was then rested on the top of the casket. I imagine that this quilt is a treasure for her family.
I am sure Jill will treasure the quilt given to her. How sad for the entire family.
