Thank you thank you thank you. Here is what I've learnt. Never remove the throat plate and the bobbin at the same time. Well you can but it's not a good idea. Using my computer to enlarge the picture it made sense. I did have to remove the throat plate and position the quilting form mechanism, and put the throat plate back on.
