ok watched a cooking show with ALTON BROWN yesterday and he had a canned okra recipe on it that he swears is not slimy at all. worth checking out his recipe as I did one of his for non fried hot wings that comes out just like fried ones only they are steamed, then chilled and then baked and whola they taste like fried hot wings. He is hard to watch but his recipes are right on.
