I have purchased 2 Featherweights...both were purchased for $225 each, but from different sources. These machines went to my sister and her daughter, both of which are quilters. My DH had purchased a FW from a friend for $185; I just had her serviced and when I picked her up today, I noticed a FW on display...price tag $495...and as many have said here...that's too much. I also have a 99K that I need to have serviced...paid $40 for that one. Now I just wish I had a room where I could set all my machines up and close the door when I'm not working in there!
