Actually, you need to stop sewing in from the corner the same amount of your seam allowance. If you are using a 1/4" seam allowance, stop 1/4" from the corner. If you are using a 3/8" seam allowance, stop 3/8" of an inch from the corner. If you are using a 1/2" seam allowance stop 1/2" from corner - you get the idea! Also, after you fold your binding back and are ready to start attaching it in the corner, make sure your fold doesn't extend over the edge of your quilt. It should be even with the edge of your binding. Clear as mud?????
