Yes, it is a 348 and it sews beautifully....that's the first thing I did when I got them home. (just a seam to make sure they didn't need anything) The lights work and they're as quiet as mice...I got extra feet, bobbins, manuals, singer tools and even oil. The quantum LE is an early stage embroidery machine...has letters and stitches programmed into it, it also sews well on knits. That's the one thing about these old vintage Singers, they like cotton, but not much else. The Quantum is also a free arm (the arm slides off) and I don't have one. I'll see if I can dig up a pic of my dining room...I love my colors...the walls are a deep burnt orange. Thanks for the compliments!
