For straight stitch only why not look at a vintage machine. The 15-91 or 15-90 is easily found for usually less than $100. You can pretty much repair most things that go wrong yourself thus saving the repair bill. Normally a little drop of oil is all it needs. No bells or whistles to worry about and a whole lot more $$$$ for fabric can notions. Both machines are great at FMQ and STD
