I bought a 930 that was practically new, about 10 years ago for $950. I took it to have it serviced and the service man told me that this machine was designed to become Bernina's workhorse, at the time it was built. But that it turned out to be to expensive to make for it to be a very popular machine. He tole me that I would never need another machine that it should last me for the rest of my life. So far it has proved to be a real work horse and I really love it.
