Nancy, there were a mix of positive and negative reviews (more towards the positive) on Amazon on this iron but the negative ones mentioned it doesn't get hot enough. Does yours get hot enough to press seams? The Clover mini iron is really just a strip of hot metal so I don't think that one has any "heft" to it as well. The Sunbeam iron that a poster above reference looks small to mid-size but maybe not as small as I'd like.
