Ubequilting is right.Her suggestion makes using two colours much easier and more accurate. Lfletcher, I auditioned no sashing as well and it was waaaaay too busy. With so many different designs and fabrics, this quilt absolutely needs sashing to rest the eyes. Basketman, I tried grey instead of white and it looked dirty. I am planning to use left over fabrics from all the blocks in the border but have a more intricate one in mind. But thanks for all the ideas. This time, I am happy to realize that my thinking is echoed by so many others.
