There is supposed to be a circular flat spring under the fish eye lens. If it's not there the lens won't stay in. If it is there usually it's jammed up tight with debris and or rust, and the lens won't come out.
According to the owners manual you should be able to push in on the lens and turn it just a bit and it will pop out. Instal in reverse order.
However I have several machines with that goofy light and only one will work properly, the rest are a nightmare.
I suspect that is why many of these types of lights are missing the lens. People got fed up with fighting with them and once they got them out they tossed the lens somewhere never to be seen again and just used the machine without it.
