So sorry to hear you are frog stitching! BUT you will be grateful when you have it all out and start again with thread you like and maybe something completely different to feathers. It is never worth continuing with something you think may be all right - it never is in my experience; better to grip the bull by the horn (or the ripper and the quilting by the thread) and get rid of what you don't like.
