Thanks I'll check that as soon as I get the hook replaced.
This machine was the victim of moving van damage. The person moving it did not remove the head from the treadle and when he drove over a speed bump the sudden up and down smashed the machine through the cabinet ripping the hinges out of the wood and driving the machine through the curved wooden panel on the bottom. The foot pedal pivots were also sheared off the bottom of the iron frame.
So anything could be wrong. I'm hoping it's just an adjustment.
