oksewglad, My mother had 2 of that type of desk in the family room. My dad put slanted wood blocks under the feet to make the top surface level. She used them for end tables by the couch. Your picture brought back memories for me... I like the scrappy look of your little quilt, with all scrappy yellow stars. I like a lot of the 80's and 90's fabrics. Very cute piece, well done!

givio, this desk was in my country school--it was one of the last country schools in the late 60's still open. When the school closed, my sister and I each got a desk...We shared a bedroom and we used them to do homework at. I like the slanted block idea, thanks--the angled top makes it hard to display items.
