Mom "incouraged" us to make a quilt for ourselves one winter.
Snowed in (no school), T.V. was limited to 3 hrs in the evening, Playing in the snow lasted till our socks (on hands and feet) and pants were frozen! What fun! Four bored children after that.
I remember mom being so patient with us for the most part. Here she is teaching us, all the while learning to quilt herself.
Life got in the way for me but mom kept right on, becoming very proficient needless to say.
So now it's been three year's since she has been gone and I have gone through 30 years of sewing/crafting/crochet. Whew the memories! Cheap therapy. And now to start a quilt without her physical guidance. Sorry about the boo hoos.
But it's all good ...... I know you can imagine the treasure of material, yarn and notions not to mention books and patterns, OH MY!
Mom and I fed off of each others ideas and now I hope to do the same here. Thank you
