Luvspaper, I agree with you about using curves/feathers. I was always given the idea that if the quilt is basically straight lines such as logs to use a curvy/circle type quilt pattern to bring in movement and of course vice-versa. I've been watching videos put out by Ellen Munnich on using ProQ Designer program which I have. Her latest videos were on whole quilt quilting. She took a design, sliced it, diced it and put it back together, adding bits and pieces from other designs. That's what I did yesterday instead of finishing the quilts.............bad girl! So here is what I've come up with so far. Still needs some tweaking though. What do you all think?
