Thanks for the compliment. I still have some dead space to work out but I think I'm on my way. Watching the videos by Ellen Munnich has truly helped me learn my program.

Also the border design will be quilted using 2 colored threads at the same time so that will be new to me too. Love trying new ideas, new patterns, etc. How else can we learn if we don't jump out of our comfort zone?

Sorry I have no ideas about the quilting but I love the layout. Log cabin is my favourite design.

anniehug, believe it or not but that's really a courthouse steps block laid out like a log cabin. When I had them up on my design wall, I found I had a couple of the blocks turned the wrong way. Guess it wouldn't really matter as it still looked the same, just the seams were in the wrong location.

Think I have the layout figured out.....................what do you all think of it now? I think this is as good as I can get filling in the dead spaces. Now to quilt it. Have yet to put the blocks together as I've been playing around with how I'm going to quilt it. Nothing like leading the horse to the water bucket before I even have it filled.

Enjoy!

Luvspaper, my ProQ Designer uses a number of different formats so I can save the design to what I need. Thanks for the website. Have added it to my list of sites to check out when in need of a new design.
