Thanks for sharing. My name is Corry. Am new to quilting but have sewn all my life. My Mom was a seamstress and she taught me a little but we never got to really share and enjoy the craft together. I am thankful in that I know my talents come from her. My Mom passed away several years ago too and my sister sent me alot of my Mom's sewing things. I have her big blue sewing box and and a few of her sewing things. I am thankful to have them but sad that we never got to enjoy this common love of sewing together. My daughters are doing the same as me. They are so busy with better things to do and by the time they take an interest in sewing I will be long gone too.
