First I would remove the outside muddy blue fabric and give it a press from the back with a light hand. Then I would use a crisp white border instead of the blue that is on it. I would find a darling print with pink and blue on white background and that should unify it all together.
My first Thoughts were to add some white too... Maybe even a applique white block in the Center of each section where all the Blue blocks meet and White border ...Hey it will wash OK... and the other ladies ideas about embroider some animals in some of the Blocks would work too... or add some Green and Yellow to the Quilt .... and the borders... still need some white though....
