That seems to be about what I see them listed for. I don't think I've seen one listed under $1K. (Not that I've been looking, but I notice them when I do see them.) I guess it's worth it, since people do pay those prices!
There's a local antique mall that usually has 4 or 5 of the regular 221's for sale, and they always want over $400 for them. And they seem to sell, or else maybe the owners rotate them, because they do seem to disappear every once in awhile. I wonder what sort of tag they'd put on a 222...probably $2K, and they just might get it. (I live in a touristy/wine area...people drink too much wine then go buy overpriced antiques they probably regret later, lol.)
