Yes, we use the quilts I make. And I make sure when I give a quilt away that the recipient knows that it was made for them to use.

At my house, we also use the quilts my grandmother made---my three oldest granddaughters sleep under quilts that their great, great grandmother made---and they LOVE it!!!

I think it is a shame to put a quilt in a closet and keep it for prosperity. There is enough fabric out there to quilt the whole world. If I use one up, I'll make another to take its place.

I am not a professional quilter--I am not making those gorgeous quilts you see at the big quilt shows. I appreciate the time and talent that goes into those quilts and I love admiring them when I attend the show, but my quilts are loved by my family and friends and that is the best prize I could ever win!
