I am also in the process of working on a twin quilt for a family member (Have another one I will need to do after this one). I just work on the painting for a while, then go back to the quilt. Neither really have deadlines. I end up taking breaks away from whatever I am working on anyway, so I try to use that time to work on one or the other hobby.
